Manuscript Format

1. General Formatting Requirements

Paper Organization

The paper should be organized in the following order:

  • Title, Author(s) Names, Institution, Email Address
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction (including framework of the study)
  • Objectives/Purpose
  • Materials and Methods (experimental) or Methodology (non-experimental)
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusions and Recommendations
  • Acknowledgments (optional)
  • References

Cover Page

The title of the paper, all authors' names, academic institution, and email addresses should appear on the cover page. The title should be in title case and centered on the page.

Word Count

The manuscript should be written in 6,000 to 10,000 words.

Page Setup

The manuscript should be typed, single-spaced, on short (8.5 inches x 11 inches) white bond paper, with 1" left, 1" top, right, and bottom margins, using Times New Roman at 12-point font.

Spacing Around Headings

Two spaces should be provided before and after major headings and before and after subheadings.

The following illustrates how each heading level should appear in the manuscript:

Level 1 — Centered, Bold, Title Case

Level 2 — Flush Left, Bold, Title Case

Level 3 — Indented, Bold, Italicized, Title Case

2. References and Citations

References should be relevant and substantial with complete publication/copyright data. They should be sourced from current, reputable international, national, and local journals, online references, and published books. Ensure that in-text citations and the reference list follow APA 7th Edition guidelines. In the references section, use hanging indentation.

Citations dated years back may be considered depending on the nature of the study.

3. Language, Style, and Notation

Acronyms and Abbreviations

Acronyms and abbreviations should be written in full when first mentioned in the manuscript. Example: Department of Education (DepEd).

Scientific Names

Scientific names should be italicized, written in full, and enclosed in parentheses throughout the manuscript.

Metric System

The metric system should be used according to International System Units (SI).

Numbers

Spell out numbers from one to ten, except when used in tables and lists, or when used with mathematical, statistical, scientific, or technical units and quantities such as distances, weights, and measures.


4. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be formatted with horizontal rules. Captions should be presented according to the format used by the discipline. Ensure that tables and figures adhere to APA formatting guidelines, including proper numbering and captions.

AI-Generated Figures

AI-generated or significantly AI-manipulated images are not permitted unless scientifically justified and explicitly approved by the Editor. Adjustments to images must not alter or misrepresent the original data.

5. Page Numbering

Page numbers should be placed in the lower right corner of each page.
