Review Process

PHASE 1: REVIEW PROCESS

1. Submission Process to SorMRJ
Upon submission of research articles to the SorMRJ website, the Publication Staff accepts the articles, generating a unique paper ID number for each submission. Simultaneously, a Google Drive link is provided for the Acknowledgement Receipt, Author’s Commitment Form, and Intellectual Property Form.

2. Preliminary Review (Turnitin Originality Check & SorMRJ Format)
The Publication Staff compiles all Author’s Commitment and Intellectual Property forms, creating a tracking matrix for submissions. A Turnitin Advisory Report is generated, and the Editor-in-Chief conducts a preliminary review using the Preliminary Review Form. The results, along with Turnitin results, are communicated to authors via email.

3. Consideration for Double-Blind Review
After a two-week compliance window, the Publication Staff accepts and organizes all submitted Preliminary Review Forms. The Editor-in-Chief identifies potential reviewers and sends invitations via email. Reviewer’s Engagement Form, SorMRJ Review Form, and article copies are dispatched to agreeing reviewers.

4. Issuance of Results Summary, Comment Table, and Action Taken Form
Following a three-week period, the Publication Staff retrieves double-blind peer review results. Comments are transcribed to the Summary of Results Form and a blank Table of Comments and Actions Taken Forms are also sent to submitting authors. The Editor-in-Chief then decides whether to accept or reject the paper. Accepted papers proceed to the next stage.

PHASE 2: PUBLICATION PROCESS

1. Revision
The Publication Staff obtains revised manuscripts, and the Editor-in-Chief ensures compliance with all comments and adherence to the prescribed SorMRJ format.

2. Publication of Electronic Copy
Upon approval of the final revisions, the Publication Staff finalizes the journal issue layout and publishes it on the SorMRJ website.

3. Issuance of Publication Certificate
The Editor-in-Chief issues a Certificate of Publication to submitting authors and a Certificate of Reviewer Recognition to reviewers.

4. Printing and Distribution of Complimentary Copies
The finalized journal versions are sent to the printing press, and complimentary copies are distributed once the printed journals arrive.
